The fashion designer should have knowledge of culture and the arts, be curious and intuitive, observant and innovative.

A fashion designer should, more specifically:

• Be aware of currents in philosophy and esthetics in order to capture the essence of future fashion trends
• Know his competitors positions
• Illustrate and communicate professional projects in an original and captivating way
• Define, conceive, and bring to fruition a collection
• Be skilled in the use of computer programs in the conception and presentation of a collection
• Identify and eliminate the technical limits of production
• Have a strong personality that allows him to impose a style and create a harmonious and coherent collection
• Have strong team spirit and be able to work with and lead a team
